New Northern Escape Heli-Skiing Mountain Lodge

Small heliski groups, a huge heliski area in the middle of Canada’s Skeena Mountains, a catskiing backup and a brand new lodge in a gorgeous panoramic location – skiing and snowboarding at Northern Escape Heli-Skiing (NEH) in British Columbia is gigantic!

Whoever sets out for Terrace in British Columbia should be prepared for snow quantities that are rarely seen. And in the middle of this snow paradise, a heliskiing provider has settled, which not only has one of the largest areas of all, but with the Mountain Lodge has also created a quite luxurious and above all private setting. Northern Escape’s Elite package offers semi-private heliskiing, with a maximum of ten guests divided into two groups sharing a heli, and a valuable addition to the Classic program at Northern Escape Yellow Cedar Lodge.

New Mountain Lodge by Northern Escape Heli-Skiing

The Mountain Lodge, also called Pioneer Lodge by some operators, is located in the middle of nowhere, about 15 minutes by heli from Terrace. Getting to Northern Escape is easy and convenient. A direct flight from Vancouver takes you to Terrace. Once you arrive at the lodge, which is secluded on a private property, you are greeted by a magnificent mountain atmosphere. All around, the snow-covered peaks tower above the treetops and idyllic mountain lakes round off the dreamlike scenery. Ten single rooms, each with its own bathroom, provide plenty of privacy – ideal for larger groups of friends and acquaintances.

When you return to the lodge in the early evening after an outstanding day of heliskiing in the Skeenas, the hot tub is already running hot and the drinks are cold. The chefs take care of a creative menu of exquisite dishes every evening. If you want to give your muscles that extra bit of relaxation, you can book a massage at the lodge. This turns the heliskiing trip into an exclusive luxury adventure.

Dream descents with NEH in Canada’s Skeena Mountains

During the day, alpine runs of up to 2000 meters on wide, open slopes and unforgettable treeskiing descents await. And if the heli can’t take off due to weather, a snowcat is ready for alternative catskiing. With an average of 17 meters of snowfall per year, you don’t have to worry about snow reliability at Northern Escape either.“

Insider-Tipp

Northern Escape Heli-Skiing offers „Unlimited Heliskiing“ in addition to the usual heliski packages with included vertical meters. This is worthwhile for strong skiers and snowboarders. Down days are practically never because of the catskiing backup. If you want to ski, you can actually get on the boards every day. With the „Unlimited Heliskiing“ from Northern Escape Heli-Skiing you can go full speed and don’t have to look at extra costs due to extra altitude. So heliskiing becomes even more carefree.
